#HelpMeOut #JobHunting #ProjectOverload
Hey everyone, so I graduated with a degree in IT last year, and let me tell you, the job search has been a rollercoaster ride! 🎢 Despite sending out tons of applications, I haven’t landed a single interview yet. 😔 I’ve got some certifications under my belt and a handful of projects to show off, but it just doesn’t seem to be cutting it.
I’m starting to wonder if maybe I need to up my project game to stand out in this competitive field. 🤔 Should I keep cranking out new web applications or focus on mastering existing software like ServiceNow? Or is there a completely different approach I should be taking?
Have any of you experienced this struggle after graduation? Was there a specific project or skill that finally opened doors for you? I keep hearing that it’s all just a numbers game, but honestly, I’m feeling pretty defeated right now. 😓
So, what do you think? Is doing more projects the key to landing a job, or is there something crucial I’m missing? Let’s figure this out together! 💡 #LetsGetThatJob #CareerAdvice 🚀

Here is one of the hardest things you’ll ever accept about job hunting: There is nothing you can do.
You will not solve your problem by getting another cert, completing another project, getting another degree, going to another networking event, etc.
Once you’ve crossed the line for being qualified for an entry level IT position (having a bachelor’s degree is *plenty)* you enter the realm of luck.
As humans we’re wired to get really personally attached to our problems and think that we can brute force our way out of them if we just work hard enough. There is nothing about the nature of the universe that makes this intrinsically true.
So calm down, keep applying, and realize that you cannot attach your sense of worth to the results of your actions. You have no control over the results of your actions, only your actions. Be proud of the work you have done to get a job, not shameful of the fact that you don’t have one yet.
