#FeelingBehind #LifeComparison #CareerConfusion
Hey there! 🌟 Does anyone else feel like they’re falling behind for their age and just wasting their life away? I’m a 20-year-old guy juggling two jobs and attending school part-time for finance. But here’s the thing – I’m not sure if finance is really my passion or if I’m just going through the motions.
Late nights filled with self-doubt and thoughts of not doing enough can be so overwhelming, right? Especially when you see peers who are already way ahead in their careers or education. And don’t even get me started on the lack of savings in the bank! 💸
But hey, here’s a thought – maybe we’re not as behind as we think we are. Here are a few things to consider:
– Everyone’s journey is different, so comparisons aren’t always fair
– It’s okay to explore different paths and interests before finding the right fit
– Saving money takes time and patience, so don’t be too hard on yourself
– Seeking guidance from a mentor or career counselor can provide valuable insights
Let’s turn this feeling of being behind into motivation to keep pushing forward and discovering what truly lights up our lives! ✨ Share your thoughts and experiences below – let’s support each other on this journey. 💪🏼💬
Lose your self in the service of others.
Buckle down and go to school full time. Focus all your efforts on academics. Take out student loans if you have to. The only way you’ll get a job in finance is by graduating. Either do that or join the military and go to school for free
I *know* it is hard to take this viewpoint right now, but I promise you — you have no idea how *little* this matters in the long run. Plenty of people stop growing and learning entirely once they leave college, and quickly get passed by those who had a late start but stay focused.
Hell, plenty of people spend their entire working life spending everything they make, never saving a dime.
It is very, very easy for you to get a late start and pass people who were “on time” in their studies but — for any one of a million reasons — fail to capitalize on it.
Finally…ultimately, comparison is the thief of joy. You have to decide what YOUR goals are and work towards them.
