Hey everyone! 👋 So, I am going into maternity in a month and I have been feeling really anxious about my career lately. Working remotely has made me feel like I’m missing out on so much – events, opportunities, you name it. It’s like I’ve been a ghost in the background, managing things with no real visibility.
I see my peers moving up the ladder, seizing new opportunities, and here I am, feeling like my career is stagnant. To add to that, the guilt of even thinking about my career at this juncture makes me wonder if I should have focused more on building a family earlier.
I dedicated my twenties to climbing the career ladder and now it seems like everything has come to a screeching halt. The anxiety kicks in especially when I scroll through LinkedIn and see all the achievements of my colleagues.
Has anyone else experienced this? How did you deal with it? I would love to hear your thoughts and advice on managing career anxiety while going into maternity leave. Let’s support each other through this journey! 🌟
Possible Solution:
– Remember that it’s okay to have these feelings – you’re not alone in this
– Focus on the present moment and the joy that comes with starting a family
– Consider reaching out to a mentor or coach for guidance and support
– Practice self-care and mindfulness to help manage stress and anxiety during this transition
Let’s uplift each other in this journey! 💪 #SupportiveCommunity #CareerGrowth #MaternityMatters
It’s natural to be worried about your career- it’s all you’ve focussed on for quite some time. It’s also a time in your life when “it’s all about you.”
For many people, becoming a parent involves a major perspective shift. You begin to see your life and your priorities in a new way. It’s impossible to know in advance what that will look like. Most likely this new time in your life will turn into “it’s all about them.” It can be challenging and interesting to make this shift.
Rather than trying to find a solution to this problem, consider “experiencing” your way into this new situation to see how you change and grow with it.
You’re not alone! Many working moms face this anxiety. You got this, mama!
