#BillionaireTitles #ElonMusk #CEO #Discuss
🤔 Do you agree that the titles billionaires award themselves prove there is no real qualification, hard work, or experience needed to reach the top of the ladder?
Here are some points to consider:
– Elon Musk holds multiple high-ranking positions in his companies, even though they function without dedicated individuals in those roles.
– Top-level jobs in big companies often seem to be given based on personal connections rather than merit.
– These “vanity jobs” may involve minimal responsibilities beyond signatures and occasional speeches.
Possible solution:
– Implement more transparent and merit-based hiring processes to ensure qualified individuals are in leadership positions.
– Encourage accountability and diversity in corporate leadership to foster innovation and inclusivity.

Well, most of the time, the requirement is to be a sociopath.
AI can much more easily replace a CEO, we should do that!
So you think he should pay someone millions to do that when he can do it himself?
Let’s say you own a company that delivers flowers. Why pay me $100 an hour when you can just deliver them and keep that profit???
Even if you didn’t believe this, you can’t deny that Elon Musk could only ever do 1/3rd of the job that the actual person in that position could do.
Like, what you are saying is so obvious when you consider the fact that most people don’t have five jobs, let alone “the most important job.”
“I work 80 hours a week.” No, you don’t. Nurses work 80 hours a week. Truck drivers work 80 hours a week. The guy even posts his social activities on Twitter, so we see he has free time.
This is no different than old feudal aristocratic titles given to nobles to make it seam like they had a actual jobs while the peasants did all the actual work/war. Different era and titles, but being CEO is no different than the 3rd earl of some made up bullshit who spent his time doing fuckall, while servants actually ran things.
Shows you how demanding those types of jobs are
I think he’s doing ok

At that level, it’s more like being a cabinet secretary. You’re not expected to be a really good (whatever), you’re expected to know enough about that area to hold up a conversation, and be the boss’s representative over there.
And if Musk is the boss, he can entertain himself by holding that title. He’s enough of an interfering busybody that anyone he gave the job to would be constantly getting stepped on anyway. So giving himself the titles is just acknowledging the reality.
I don’t see how any of them are different from any board appointed CEO. So far they haven’t ran these companies into the ground which is more than the average “professional” CEO can say.
