Thinking of attending local community college for associates in Computer science. 🤔 Are there any certificates (especially free ones) online worth doing separate from the community college courses? And are the Amazon AWS certs sought after when job hunting down the line?
Here are some thoughts and solutions I have:
– Look into free online certifications like Google IT Support, Microsoft Azure, or Cisco Networking to complement your community college courses 🖥️
– Amazon AWS certifications are highly valued in the tech industry and can definitely give you an edge when job hunting 💼
– Consider taking AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer exams to showcase your expertise in cloud computing ☁️
What do you think? Any other certifications or tips to share? Let’s discuss! 🌟

The certificates themselves aren’t worth anything. Focus on what you want to learn and the skills you want to develop, not the certifications themselves.
What’s sought after is genuine experience with AWS – like you actually build and deploy an app and scale it up to lots of users. You can absolutely self-teach and get experience just by making your own app on AWS.
