#RevengePorn #LegalAdvice #HighSchoolDrama
Hey everyone, I really need some advice on a difficult situation I’m in right now. So, here’s the deal – 🙈
I made a huge mistake by having sex at my high school, and to make matters worse, the guy I was with recorded it without my knowledge. Fast forward to now, and he’s been selling the videos online for his own profit. 😔
I reached out to him, hoping to resolve this, but he basically told me tough luck and that he’s made over 2k from it. Not to mention, he’s accusing ME of taking advantage of him because we were minors when it happened. 🤯
I’m aware that revenge porn is illegal in my state, but the fact that we were both minors at the time and having sex at school is also illegal has me really scared. Could I end up in legal trouble too? 😰
Is there anything I can do to protect myself and get those videos taken down? I’m at a loss here and any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, everyone! 🙏💬
Possible solution:
– Contact a lawyer who specializes in revenge porn and underage sex cases
– Look into filing a report with the authorities and provide proof of your age at the time of the incident
– Reach out to social media platforms where the videos are being shared to have them removed immediately
There are lots of issues at play here – both revenge porn and distribution of CP. You should speak to an adult you trust about this, and let the police know with that adult if you’re comfortable doing so.
I know this is scary, but he is the one in the wrong, and you can report this. You should also report the videos if you see them on the internet. I’m sorry this is happening.
This is child pornography. He’s committing very serious, prison-level crimes here. You need to speak to your parents and an attorney, and report this to agencies who handle sex trafficking and child trafficking in your country/state/province. This is NOT your fault.
Go to the police.
please report this to the police, especially if u are out of highschool or are a senior. he’ll regret this once hes facing 20 years for distributing CP. absolutely disgusting, so sorry you have to go through this
even if u are of age now, the data of those videos will show the date they were taken proving u are both underage. i can almost guarantee u will not get in trouble
In the state I work in as a police officer, he is committing multi felonies. Please report it if and when you feel comfortable doing so. A guy like him most likely is not going to learn without real and serious consequences
Call the police
You really need to get your parents involved in this. What he’s doing is very illegal and police also need to be involved.
It varies a lot by state, but with most crimes, the judge and public prosecutor has some ability to modify the punishment.
So, even if you were 18 and he was 16, that crime of statutory rape is less severe than the crime of distributing videos like this for money.
A reason to speak to a lawyer is to get an understanding of what crimes (if any) you might have committed. A lawyer will know how to reach out to law enforcement while minimizing any risk of you confessing to a crime.
I am a parent, and if my child reached out to me looking for help, I admit I would be frustrated with my kid, BUT I would also do everything I could to help them.
DO NOT BE AFRAID OF TALKING TO YOUR PARENTS unless they have a history of being abusive to you.
That’s child porn
He distributed child pornography. That is also illegal.
Call the local police non emergency number and they will point you in the direction of what resources you need to contact , there are entire investigation teams that handle this stuff and take it serious so once you make that call start expecting some action.
Contact the ICAC task force, as well as local police. This is a serious, felony level crime in the US, and the dude deserves to serve time for it.
You need to tell your parents AND get an attorney to help you because there may be some liability on your end with the age difference and the production of the video. Only then should you go to the police, with your attorney.
You need legal assistance. Do not speak to the police. You don’t even have to speak to your parents or anyone from the school. Find a lawyer and get a consultation.
Don’t talk to anyone else about this and delete this post. You should not disclose any more information about this to anyone except your lawyer. Do not speak to the police without a lawyer.
Everyone else involved in buying or selling is distributing child porn, you’re fine, he’s in serious trouble, and so is anyone else if he put your ages in the sales description of the video.
You need to take action! He is doing wrong and anyone who watches that video could potentially be in legal trouble for CP.
I don’t believe you will get into any legal trouble seeing how you both were under 18 at the time the video was made. He is trying to manipulate you, don’t let him.
Maybe try consulting a lawyer, most of them will do a free consultation with you.
Revenge porn is illegal, selling CP is illegal.
As others have stated, he has committed multiple crimes. If your contact with him is via text or messaging back up the conversations to a secure place. Phones fail and get lost, and you want a backup of your evidence.
Every person who has possession of that video is committing a crime and him selling it is also a crime. Kids are dumb. You need to find a trusted person in a position of authority and tell them what’s happening.
As a father of a teen age girl, I hope you find someone to help you or just find the courage to talk to your dad/mom. It will be extremely difficult to find a grown up who does not want to help you. Don’t stay alone with this.
Also don’t be ashamed of what happened. Most people want to have sex and enjoys it when they grow up. Your parents know that and they have gone through that change themselves. It was not your fault. He is the one doing wrong. You never had any bad intentions when enjoying your body or trusting another human being.
Be strong and ask for help! This is the moment in your life that you need it!
Report it to NCMEC. They have a cybertip line that can help get the video taken down and the person who is distributing it in trouble.
