I mean, there are full time career jobs that involve delivering packages. UPS, FedEx, even USPS. Those jobs have unions, benefits, pensions, etc.
If you love that work it’s a real option.
Try any field work where you have to visit multiple locations in a region like field sales for pharmaceuticals, satellite/cable service, etc. That or be a forest ranger, fire fighter, etc… Had a friend that dated a fire fighter, she said the guy had 4 days off which was almost enough time to do another gig and still made close to six figures.

Start your own residential land management company. It may be slow going at first but if you’re honorable and present well, ppl will hire you. And if they like you too, then they’ll pay a little more than others, ime.
Start a cleaning business. I cleaned with a friend and we did mostly residential and our days didn’t start until 9-9:30 am and rarely worked to 5. I suppose if you found a couple of small commercial accounts a couple, few evenings a week, you could do alright.
In both scenarios, if you grow you can bring ppl on and reduce your own labor so long as you support the infrastructure of the biz. That will take time because you’ll wanna manage your employees and trust them so that Internet reviews are in your favor. I know that’s a bigger thing than folks realize nowadays.
Both are inexpensive startups but neither are gonna make you buckets, especially the cleaning. You might make out on the land management if things go well after years. But I think for the big payout later on, there’ll be big risks. If you wanted to keep it small, I think it’s a good living and if you’re savvy with your money, you could retire with some comfort.
They might not be great for full time, but my two side gigs are flexible/fun:
1. Real estate: I have my license and there are so many fun aspects to it. No day is ever the same. Some days you’re out showing houses, other days you’re attending inspections or hosting an open house, and other days you can just snuggle up and do work at home.
The cons are it’s 100 percent commission based, so a side gig is definitely needed until you become successful if you want to go full time. I found out I don’t really have that “sales gene” so I mostly work with friends at this point, but I still love it lol.
2. Pet sitting: actually the dream if you love animals. I literally hang out with people’s cats and dogs and get paid. Most of my clients came from my bartending days and referrals after that, but you can use apps like Rover and set your own schedule to when people can request your services.
The only con I’ve seen is there can be a lot of requests around the holidays, but also I make way more money if I choose to book around the holidays too.
