who knows, i keep my gmail up and if i see (1) usually there’s a 50/50 chance it reads “we have decided not to proceed with your application” lol.
I think most are fake. I have been trying to find a job since October when I was laid off.
of course they’re real.
Most job postings are fake or bait and switch. That’s why I just use spamtech for most applications and jobs that I like manual application.
Some are. But the ones that are real, are those with super specific skillsets.
In my experience lately for junior level at least 3/4th of these ads are fake or an outright scam some you can tell based on the company because you recognize it, their website, the ad, or whatever but others you can’t tell. No reason to repost the same ad for 4 months off and on when their are this many unemployed coders.
I’m willing to estimate 75% are fake internal postings and lot of them are for laid off workers that will boomerang for lower salary
I’ve been applying for over a year. Heavily and not heavily. I am also thankful i currently have a job but I need out for my mental health. I finally after getting ghosted more times than I can count I have 2 interviews. I’m very grateful for them. Keep trying. You’ll luck up.
Honestly no matter what job site you’re using, go to the company’s career page and apply there directly. If the role doesn’t exist there, it’s been taking down or filled.
It’s not as much an issue of “fake” postings as it is maintenance across platforms. Don’t trust that anything on Indeed actually exists, it’s one of the worst.
Some of them are fake. The key is to apply as soon as they’re posted. Recruiters are dealing with openings with 500+ applicants in some places. There simply isn’t enough bandwidth to screen and move all of those people forward. Any longer than a couple of days after positing is probably too late.
I think it is very difficult to rely on the job market online posted. I wonder why they even post then they won’t reply back or so. At least an honest feedback. Better to have a note saying you are not accepted that waiting for the moon and stars.
A lot of ghost jobs out there for the purpose of making companies look good so higher ups can secure bonuses. Idk how we would resolve this.
This is time where you say “F It”. I am just gonna wait until all you guys stress and find jobs. Then, after all of you found jobs, I am gonna find a job.
I am gonna just say F It and wait.
And if companies are sued for layoffs and have to pay health insurance for a year after they’ve let you go, do you know how much harder it would be to get hired? It’s not the companies – they are the good guys who give out jobs. It’s the government who fked up the economy. Don’t believe that everything is rosy – stock market is up because 7 companies have hyped up AI. We’re in a bad situation when it comes to business and certainty.
