If you’re feeling behind, remember this:
I saw these stats online and it made me feel a little better 🌟:
– Only 15-30% of households in America make over 100k a year.
– The average credit card balance in debt is $6,501.
– 78% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck and are barely getting by.
– The average age of a first-time homebuyer is 35.
You’re probably doing better than you think, life is hard. 💪
One possible solution to improve your financial situation is to create a budget and stick to it. Tracking your expenses and finding ways to cut costs can help you start saving money for the future. Remember, small steps can lead to big changes! 📊💰 #FinancialTips #Budgeting101 #YouGotThis
Comparison is the thief of joy
Dude we must stop these posts. They not encouraging. These stats are lies and take into consideration EVERYBODY. Which most people are peasants and sheep so you can’t actually trust this shit.
30% of people potentially make $100k? That makes me feel worse lmao even if I got a job right now (I’m unemployed) I wouldn’t even be able to make half of that. My cc debt is way more than that average.
Edit: realizing now after a couple replies that it’s household income, I need to read more clearly next time and I acknowledge my mistake
Sorry to say these numbers aren’t accurate. At least not numbers 1 and 3. Around 40 percent of households make 100k now. And the way that paycheck to paycheck data is gathered is wrong. It factors in people maxing out their retirement savings, etc. It’s definitely no where near that.
Feel better about what? People probably want to focus on making more money and not taking on debt.
I dont see how these numbers would do anything for anyone. It perpetuates the comparison mindset, which is actually pretty toxic in the short and especially long run. If my neighbor has a smaller house, more debt, more or less kids, disabled, it shouldn’t make me feel any different, vice versa.
