So, here’s the situation – I’m in the middle of a stressful job search, finally get an interview opportunity, and then the company completely ignores my request for a virtual interview. Instead, they just repeat the address like that’s going to solve everything. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
But calling might just make things worse. Should I risk it, or just let this one go?
Here’s what I think could help:
– Try sending a polite follow-up email reiterating your preference for a virtual interview
– Reach out to the HR department (if possible) to clarify the communication
– Consider if this company’s lack of attention to detail is a red flag for future work environment

AI is the future companies are using it to handle onboarding processes this has only saved money it has not been helpful to people looking for job because the RIGHT person doesn’t always make it through the ai system if you are dealing with this call them explain the issue you had with the email feed if they don’t give you a sorry and help you then don’t work there you are just a numbers there are other companies I’m not sure what you are applying for but it shows the mindset of the management they care about profits more than there employees
It reminds me of that time I was getting my life back together after the pandemic. I was invited to come interview at this sushi place. Not only did they clearly ignore my resume, they told me to fill out this paper application. I email them back saying I do not have a printer, so could I come a bit early to fill out the application in person. They said yes.
On the day of, they demanded to know why I do not have the application. I was rejected.

They’re definitely going to throw out your application if you no show to an interview they thought you were attending. You need to call them and speak to someone. Either they’ll accommodate it or they won’t.
It might not even be a person- a lot of companies are utilizing AI for scheduling
