Got email today from the COO about work hour expectations… 🤯
In my third week here and they are serious about respecting personal/family time and work hours. Mind… blown. They actually practice what they preach about culture. Winning!
🌟 Possible solution:
– Set clear boundaries and communicate your availability to colleagues
– Utilize tools like email scheduling to avoid sending messages outside of work hours
– Encourage open communication and understanding among team members to uphold respectful work practices

Meanwhile my job just dropped their new agile/scrum style project management system where they’re going to “compensate us well” for our off-time 🙄🙄. So probably base pay rate for mandatory overtime, wheeeee.
But I’m glad yours is taking care of you. That’s what I’m looking for next.
I love this for you. Right after I was hired at my company, I got scolded by my CEO for sending him a slack about something on a Friday at 2 PM because apparently after 1 PM, you just… don’t. We get every last Friday of the month off paid, and the last week of every quarter is considered a “Focus Week” with zero internal communications, and just the expectation that you handle things you’ve been putting off. It was a hard habit to break as someone who was micromanaged to the hilt in prior roles. I love my job and this culture is 99% of that. We all work very hard and get shit done, but no one feels overwhelmed or burnt out. I still check in when I am “off” but the amount of flexibility afforded us means that it never feels like work. I feel like managers who can foster this kind of environment get so much more productivity out of their employees.
So, they looking for any other employees?
Sounds like epic win.
That is so good. What a great employer.
Holy shit.
