-
Seek Professional Help: Consider seeing a therapist or counselor who can provide you with the necessary tools and resources to cope with your anxiety and depression. Therapy can be incredibly beneficial in helping you change negative thought patterns and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
-
Explore Your Passion for Arts: You mentioned that you’re passionate about arts. Have you considered taking some time to explore this passion further? Engaging in creative activities can be incredibly therapeutic and fulfilling.
-
Consider Your Career Path: Reflect on whether your current job aligns with your long-term goals and aspirations. If it doesn’t, it might be worth exploring other career options that bring you more fulfillment and joy.
-
Take Care of Your Mental Health: Prioritize your mental well-being by practicing self-care activities such as meditation, exercise, and spending time in nature. Remember, your mental health is just as important as your physical health.
- Connect with Others: Reach out to loved ones, friends, or support groups who can offer a listening ear and guidance during this challenging time. Building a strong support system can make a significant difference in your mental health journey.
Remember, it’s okay to not have all the answers right now. Take small steps towards self-discovery and personal growth. Be kind to yourself, and remember that it’s never too late to make positive changes in your life. 💪
Sending you strength and positivity on your journey to finding clarity and purpose. You’ve got this! 🌟 #YouAreNotAlone
>Should I see a therapist?
yes. you would probably be helped by seeing a therapist. Specifically one that can help with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
We are very much alike where my default thoughts are bad ones. My self esteem is terrrrible because of it. I isolate myself too after work because I can’t handle having any more anxiety being added to my mind for the day. I think you (and me too) will have a hard time breaking the cycle until you are able retrain your brain from having a negative reactions as your first instinct. And that’s one part of how CBT can help. Once that is conquered, everything else should get easier in my opinion.
A therapist can help you with your thinking process and fears. Because, obviously, there are things you want to pursue in life but for some reason you’re not doing anything towards achieving those dreams. Why? Could be fear, could be indecisiveness, could be assumptions, could be low self-esteem. Therapist will find those reasons and help you break out of this.
You say you don’t know what to do, but you just mentioned what you want to do. Take a small bite of all those things you wish to do, try them all and see how it goes. I mean, you definitely can’t be SAHM, because you don’t have kids now and you didn’t mention that now you want to be a mom right now, but you can at least check out arts courses and job opportunities, you can leave your job if it’s making you exhausting.
The most important part is that you will do mistakes along the way and you need to accept it beforehand. Honestly, in your situation doing mistakes is better than doing nothing and living with this never stopping mental fog.
