🤬 Stop forcing me to sign up just to apply for a damn job!
I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of jumping through hoops just to submit a simple job application. Why is it necessary for every company to require me to create an account before I can even express interest in a position? It’s frustrating, time-consuming, and downright unnecessary.
Here’s a possible solution that could benefit us all:
– Create a guest application option: Allow applicants to apply without having to go through the hassle of creating yet another account.
– Streamline the application process: Eliminate unnecessary steps and make it as easy as possible for candidates to apply.
– Offer alternative options for submitting applications: Provide email or phone application options for those who prefer not to sign up on a website.
Let’s make the job application process smoother and more user-friendly for everyone involved! What do you think? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below. Let’s spark a discussion on how to improve the recruitment process! 🌟
I feel your pain, job applications are like online marathons!
Make a new account and then fill in all the information from your CV…
Workday man. They must have an amazing sales team to get so many companies to sign up for their product that does 100 things and 0 things well
I hate this too 🙁 and often I do not apply
Any Indeed post that brings me to another site is an immediate nope.
This is why I’m in a union I don’t need to apply for a job ever. Closest thing I get is taking a weld test.
Yep, I will never make an account to apply for a job and will never fill in my resume line by line
Workday jumbles my resume up every damn time
You find a job posting you like. They make you sign up. After going through all the signup stuff, it says you already have an account with them. Finally, you recover your old password using the secret phrase questions. You’re about to submit your application when you catch the fact that the old resume from 8 years ago is the “default” resume. You just saved yourself a mistake.
YESSS! So annoying, then you get annoying newsletters, or the jobs that ask for 2+ introduction videos. Just take my CV and shove it.
Workday is shit.
Also. I’m so sick of unemployment for ten months as a systems engineer with 20 years experience. I can’t even get Target to call me back now. This job market is a fucking joke.
I’ve reached the point in my life where asking for my email is a dealbreaker. I can’t make one more account. It’s too many things. Too many apps.
Have experience in 3 industries with 5+ years in each that are all relative to the role applied for.
Be active in a current role that also fits the description of the job you’re applying for.
Live 4 minutes from said job with car and license.
Will pass drug tests
Make an account on their site and cover letter with shining reference from current employer.
Run resume through AI software and make it relative to the job.
apply for job and fill in details that are already on resume.
Still don’t get job
“Please spend an hour filling this out so that we can spend 1 minute reading it before denying you and never telling you why”
Use a password manager. That way if their site gets compromised, it’s only a randomly generated password that they get. You don’t even need to remember signing up to the website, but when you need to go back to it to apply for a job there, the browser extension will remind you that you have an account on that website and let you log in almost effortlessly. Easy.
I love spending 30+ minutes signing up on a website and filling out all of my information only to have someone not read it at all 💕 I love being automatically rejected or ghosted altogether 💕 I love being denied a job because someone in the company had a family member who wanted that job too 💕
They sell your information while also not giving you a job
then you get spam emails that take up space and even get scam emails and texts from the job sites. all it does is collect data and do the job for HR in the recruiting process
it sucks cause even company websites no longer let you apply without making an account on indeed, zip recruiter etc
had a job my friend refer me too. had to sign up to zip recruiter then it redirects me to their website then back to zip recruiter. the openings that are on zip recruiter aren’t even listed on the company site. it’s very frustrating
They’re selling your data.
Exactly why I have am entire seperate email I use for employment purposes; and another complete seperate email I use for websites or purchases online that isn’t Amazon.
God, do I hate that shi#. why the heck do I need to make a password protected account and fill in all the information from my CV again , when I already know that, at best, maybe 5% of the time this is actually looked at by an actual human? Who is not even going to bother actually thoroughly reading it, as I can tell by the fact that, if it gets to an interview I have to go over it all again?
Also, I have some pretty strong suspicion that one of them leaked my password.
I have so many accounts at this fucking point and I only use 3 to apply mostly because I’m applying to work at universities and state jobs that are all on the same sites but still this is some bullshit
