Do not work for free. Ever. They are straight up stealing people’s work and not even hiding it.
Nononono!
They want you to do THEIR JOB FOR FREE!
dont fuckn do it.
Also, isn’t this some kind of privacy breach?
Say, what if someone showed this to the correct authorities?
Something similar happened to me 6-7 years ago. I was feeling bold and replied all with something along the lines of, “Thank you for your time and consideration, but doing this amount of free work to be considered for a job should be illegal. Please remove me from consideration.”
This is probono work. Don’t do it. Unless desperate, do it and add it to your portfolio.
Even if you could set up WordPress or other platforms in a couple of hours, don’t do it!
If this was a “toy” problem, I’d say go for it. But it looks like they are trying to get you to do free work. Do not do it for free.
Reply with your hourly rate and an estimate of how much it will cost them for you to complete the project, with an added “rush” fee, of course.
I can do that, ***for money***
