#CrowdfundingChallenge: Ready to crowdfund but only have figma screens to show 🤔
Hey everyone! 👋 So, our team is in a bit of a dilemma… We’re at the stage where we need to start crowdfunding to push our app launch forward, but all we have right now are some figma screens with the expected content. 😅
Here’s the scoop: the screens only have placeholders and aren’t fully fleshed out yet. Is this something that’s common in the crowdfunding world, or do backers typically expect to see more polished visuals and content before they open their wallets?
Would love to hear your thoughts and any advice you might have on how to navigate this situation. Drop a comment below if you’ve got some wisdom to share! 🙏💭
Possible solution:
– Consider creating a video walkthrough or animation using the figma screens to give backers a better idea of your app’s functionality and potential
– Offer detailed explanations alongside the screens to provide context and showcase your vision
– Reach out to your target audience for feedback and insights to improve your campaign strategy
Let’s help each other out and make this crowdfunding journey a success! 💪 #CrowdfundingTips #FigmaScreens #AppLaunch #StartupLife
Ugh, I’ve been in the Figma-ware demo circus before. Have you shown those screens to customers? What do they think?
I think it partly depends on the community you’re targeting. Do you have a preexisting audience? Or, will funders be discovering you or your startup for the first time when you launch the campaign?
Why not have a working prototype?
Crowdfunding is as good a seeking investors – your basics are lacking to convince people
1. No public or third party or customer set has seen of given feedback
2. Business model ? For now and future ?
3. Milestones from start to now ? and future
4. Spent how much for what ( don’t need show financials – show / effort ) and going where ?
Why would you start development , without running by a trusted customer ?
“classic” we know best syndrome
5. How many people in the outfit now ? Whichever way you answer this – ask yourself does it take that many to do FIGMA ?
That’s where you are at – first draft .
I would have at a minimum mockups that represent the product. You would generate more interest. An MVP would be even better.
