Hey there, job seekers! 🌏✈️ Would you like to move across the globe for a job? No you can’t know the salary (LinkedIn recruiter madness).
Let’s talk about this questionable recruitment tactic. Does it make you uncomfortable to consider relocating without knowing the compensation package? 🤔
Here are some thoughts on how to handle this situation:
– Research the company and industry to get an idea of salary ranges
– Reach out to current or former employees on LinkedIn for insights
– Ask the recruiter for more details about benefits and compensation in a polite manner

I get so many annoying recruiters on linkedin that I just have a canned cut and paste response that basically says: “Thanks for reaching out, I’m happy where I am but I would consider exceptional opportunities with a minimum base compensation of XXX,XXX and director level or above positions. If that doesn’t line up with anything you are recruiting for, I wish you luck in your search.” It completely shuts down pushy conversations that are a waste of my time.
I would love to take a job overseas, and depending on where in the world it is, I would make it permanent. BUT, I will not even consider a job if they won’t discuss pay and cost of living.
South Korea is awesome though. Why didn’t you just take the phone call and ask on the phone? Could have got more info on the relocation package as well
