I like that time because I like to think that means my body is starting anew, refreshing and becoming new once more. During that time I just care for myself.
I break out my tea collection.
with a sweet treat of course
By stuffing my face with food and watching cop/medical dramas.
With one of the stimulators 😅
I go on an eating binge of sorts. Nothing is said no to!
Sweets
I indulge my goblin self by telling everyone (where appropriate) that I’m bleeding.
Sleep. I feel so sleepy and dizzy and nauseous it’s unreal. I wish menstrual leave was a thing, at least for a day. Painkillers barely help. I’d take morphine.
Sweet treat, hot bubble bath, glass of mead (or a gummy depending on my mood) and watching one of my comfort shows or movies
buying new underwear bc i prob bled thru 7 pairs already
I make sure I work out still, something light but something to get me moving. It will make me feel good and help ease the cramps. I usually eat and sleep a lot more than usual. I don’t really treat myself any differently.
Indulging in sweet treats, soaking in the tub with a luxurious bath bomb, requesting things like cuddles and hot water bottles from my partner, snuggling up in cozy clothes, me time, nice beverages, …
Nothing specific. Just another day, I guess.. 😅
If I have a craving, if I need sleep, if I need to let the dishes go for a day…I indulge. My body needs it.
I eat. I sleep. I crochet. I smoke weed. I watch garbage TV.
Advil and a nap
inhaling every food in sight and reading/going on my phone all day.
I have a weighted heated pad, I try to get extra sleep, I usually take some sort of edible before bed to help with staying asleep through the cramps, I keep various snacks on hand, salty and sweet.
I smoke a shit ton of weed. Helps with the cramps. ☺️
I don’t do anything different, except for the handful of ibuprofen.
Not like a should. I tend to beat myself up about alot of things. It’s a frustrating cycle to be honest.
Chocolates, lots of it and have takeout because I can’t cook those times too painful 😢
I love making a fruit smoothie lately. 60g blueberries 60g raspberries about 30-60g banana depending on how creamy you want it 15g peaches 1tsp peanut butter and some almond milk.
Currently there. I talk nicer to myself. I don’t get down on myself for extra snacks. I take longer more meaningful showers. I have severe pmdd and it is exhausting leading up to that time. I hit my bong more. I remind myself that my brain isn’t firing correctly right now and to not be offended because not everything is a personal attack to me. I wear comfy clothes. I bun my hair loosely.
My husband is a great help. Totally supportive. Always there even when I’m absolutely certain he is sick of me. He reminds me to be kind to myself. He reminds me to stay hydrated and medicated.
