Hey everyone! 😊 So, I recently got fired without notice while I was on a call with a client and now I’m feeling a bit lost and frustrated. Here’s a quick rundown of what happened:
– I work remotely in customer service and out of the blue, I got locked out of my account and received a termination email.
– I haven’t been paid for the last 3 weeks of work and I have debts that I need to take care of.
– I tried reaching out to the company but I have no access to anything other than emails and there are no numbers to call.
To make matters worse, I found out that another ex-employee in a similar situation was also unable to contact the company. It feels like we’re being ghosted for good!
Do any of you have any advice on what steps I should take next? I would really appreciate any suggestions on how to handle this situation and get what I’m owed. Let’s help each other out! 👍🏼
File a complaint to your wage and hour board.
Contact the DOL immediately and explain what happened and that you were not paid for time worked.
OP, Saw you say you are not a US citizen, are you in the US? If not, where? Where is the company based? Are you legally employed? This info all matters.
Any company socials you could ask about your missing wages on? Also file with the state department of labor.
Why aren’t you naming and shaming the hell out of that company LOL ?
They seem the most scam shit ever.
