CheesecakeFactory #Misconceptions
So, here’s the story – I recently went to The Cheesecake Factory for the second time, and let me tell you, it was not what I was expecting at all. Before I went there, I had this image in my head of a place where you could build your own cheesecake, like a Cheesecake DIY. But to my surprise, it was just a regular restaurant with overpriced dishes. 🍰🤔
Menu Misconceptions
When I saw the menu, I realized my mistake – I was so fixated on the idea of a custom-built cheesecake paradise that I didn’t even bother to look at what they actually served. And to add salt to the wound, I always fill up on the main course and never have enough room for the dessert, which is apparently the highlight of The Cheesecake Factory experience! 🍽️
Making the Most of Your Visit
So, if you’re planning to visit The Cheesecake Factory, here are some tips to make the most out of your experience:
- Check the Menu: Take a look at the menu before going, so you know what to expect and can save room for that delicious cheesecake.
- Share Plates: Consider sharing dishes to leave room for dessert or even order the cheesecake first!
- Take Home Options: If you’re too full, there’s always the option to take a slice of cheesecake home with you.
- Try Different Flavors: With so many flavors to choose from, don’t be afraid to try something new each time you visit.
Conclusion
While The Cheesecake Factory may not be a Cheesecake Build-Your-Own experience as I originally thought, it’s still a popular spot known for its decadent desserts. Just make sure to plan ahead, so you can indulge in that famous cheesecake without feeling too stuffed from the main course! 🍰🍴
Yes. I’m on your side.
Wait it isn’t a build your own cheesecake? Damn 😩
Same. I expected some industrial baking complex. It was nothing but a glorified diner that has some cheesecake on the dessert menu. I haven’t been in 15 years though. I liked it only because the portion sizes were large and I didn’t leave feeling hungry. I’m guessing they’re like everybody else and cut the portions.
I didn’t think that, but love the idea :)!
I’ve never been there, and I always thought that as well 🤷🏻♀️
I grew up near St. Louis and went to the Spaghetti factory and was disappointed when I didn’t get to make my own Spaghetti as a kid. So as an adult, I was ready to be disappointed when going to the Cheesecake Factory for the first time and only order food.
I thought it was something along those lines when I first heard name as well
I thought it was something along those lines when I first heard name as well
Yeah I was really upset because I thought it was going to be like a conveyor belt with cheesecakes going by and, like, comically large mechanical arms slamming down adding ingredients as it goes.
You know? Like a fucking factory?
When I walked in and they asked if I wanted to be seated I just left.
It would be hard to do, though. Cheesecakes have to be baked. Takes me an hour to bake mine.
Visiting the cheesecake factory has been one of the giant disappointments of my life.
Omg! Yes!
I literally thought it was a factory that made cheesecakes, and after the tour you’d get to sample some of their products. Kinda like when you go on a brewery tour.
also thought there was only one location, because I’d never noticed another sign elsewhere. This is about 15 years ago, so idk if there weren’t as many locations as there are today.
I probably would have before going to the Old Spaghetti Factory
I certainly thought it was a lot more cheesecake focused than it is.
Thought this when I was a kid. If you’ve never been, their menu is like fucking 25 pages long. They have a toooooon of shit
No. I thought it’d be all cheesecake and no other food lol
I really dislike the name “Cheesecake Factory” for a restaurant. I’ve never understood how a restaurant with such an unappealing name found success.
I’m Canadian and one of my fav movies is Step Brothers. I know the wife was angry at the husband for spending most of his nights at the Cheesecake Factory. I thought , that’s so fucking odd. Who’s having Cheesecake past midnight? Lol
Never been to one, but no, it never did. Cheesecake takes time to bake, so it’s logical that they couldn’t possibly make a custom Cheesecake for each person.
Biggest reason I never went there. Same for the fashion brand “Laundry Industries”.
Yes I thought it was a build-a-bear for cheesecakes
Yeah, I have been there exactly once and still don’t understand the concept.
It’s not??
I’ve never been.
I thought all these folks I heard talking about it just really liked cheesecake.
In Australia we have a chain of bakery/cake stores called the Cheesecake Shop. The idea of a Cheesecake Factory being anything other than where they get their cheesecakes from is baffling.
YES. I thought it was along those lines and that they ONLY had cheesecakes. I was highly confused learning it was more of a “fancy” restaurant with lots of different dishes
It is an unusual name for a place that sells so so many different items. Why focus on the cheesecake?
I once confused the Cheesecake Factory with an actual good restaurant lmao
Im still upset that they changed their menu and got rid of the prok chops they had.
Im a New York cheesecake gal now, but i wasn’t when i tried their pork chops and inhouse applesauce.
But i will agree with the “build your own.” it makes sense and should be implemented, which would bring in 0re 2020 crowds again.
Like a Build a Bear store
I have never eaten anywhere with such a overwhelming female clientele. Perhaps a dozen visits and every time it is 75% or more females and a of the males there none of them are there without a female.
