I used to work at Starbucks. Oooooohhh boy, you see someone coming you don’t like? See title. They’re a jerk in line? Decaf. Dummy wants to be a jerk when you’re just trying to ring him up? The ‘names’ you can put on the cup are endless. Be nice, people.
I do this because I’m OCD. We are not the same.
I’ve been drinking coffee for 20 years and have always lined the hole up with the seam to help me find the hole without having to look. I have never once had the issue you’re talking about.
I always look for this. I find that certain baristas always line up the seam with the hole. Particularly at Starbucks. I used to bring it to their attention, but it’s like shoveling water out of a sinking boat.

I do this so I can grab the cup while driving, feel where the seam is, and effortlessly drink without taking my eyes off the road. We are not the same.
Can someone explain this? Happens to me every now and then and drives me nuts
