🚧 Cost my ex-employer 750k or more. 🚧
What would you do if you found out that your former employer had missed out on significant profits due to their own negligence? This is exactly the situation I found myself in after being terminated without cause by a construction company that deals with large contracts. But instead of wallowing in the unfairness of it all, I decided to take action and use the legally acquired information I possess to potentially hit the 3-4 million dollar mark within the year. Here’s how I plan to do it:
The Situation
I was terminated without cause from a construction company where I had been hired on the basis of my 15 years of experience in the local industry. The specific incident that led to my termination was my insistence on lead abatement being included in our job, which put the project behind 5 months but ultimately increased the profit and allowed me to reach out to personal contacts for better bids.
The Impact
It’s important to note that my actions ultimately saved the company almost two million dollars on that single contract alone. However, I was still terminated the Wednesday after Christmas without cause, leaving me with valuable information about the financials of each contract, profit margins, and subcontract amounts.
The Plan
With this information in hand, I am in the process of notifying all the trades on the project about their profit margins and where they can charge without concerns. Additionally, I am notifying them that they were not operating on official plans, leading to potential price increases for their services.
How I Plan to Do It
1. Notifying Trades of Profit Margins
– I will personally meet with each trade on the project and provide them with detailed information about their profit margins and where they can charge without concerns.
2. Informing about Lack of Official Plans
– I will also make it a point to notify all subcontractors that they were not operating on official plans, potentially causing them to increase their prices at maximum but fair margins.
3. Reaching the 3-4 Million Dollar Mark
– My ultimate goal is to use this legally acquired information to potentially hit the 3-4 million dollar mark within the year. While this goal may seem optimistic, it is potentially doable with the information I currently possess.
In Conclusion
It’s clear that my ex-employer’s negligence has cost them a significant amount of money, and I am determined to make the most of the situation by using the legally acquired information I possess to potentially make a substantial profit. Stay tuned for updates on my progress as I continue to pursue this ambitious goal.

I think I would remove this post before they find it. I’m pretty sure that information is owned by the company.
You’re in deep shit if this is true.
You are dummer than rocks and candy for lawyers.
Don’t do that until you learn to read, then read your contract and termination paperwork.
Nice of you to provide evidence for when the inevitable lawsuit starts.
Google “tortious interference” if you want to know what you’re getting into.
Bravo, release the Kraken!!!
I’m going to guess that you’re in a right to work state, or otherwise not covered by a contract.
Just for your info, what you are doing is actionable and can be used against you in a court of law. They can come after you for all that you’re choosing them, and all legal fees.
My suggestion is that you take your lumps, get mad as hell, drink a lot for a few weeks, then go out and find a job with a competitor and take their business in a legal way.
No matter how bad your employer was, this kind of behavior will make you radioactive for any other company looking to hire – good luck on getting another job or reference. Worth deleting this whole post as they can easily sue you for this.
It doesn’t sound like you should have been anywhere near a contract or bidding process. Ever heard of conflict of interest? This post also if ever found would cost you so much.
my personal thoughts? delete it fast
Totally justified in sacking you. Get over it, and do something constructive, like get a new job.
I don’t understand. If OP saved the company nearly two million dollars why were they terminated?
There was a case where a construction crew abandoned their cement rolling trucks and caused the trucks to become unusable because the cement dried
They were sued for damages and the company won against them
Is your username your actual name? Dan Morgan? Won’t be hard for your previous employer to find you if what you’re proposing actually happens.
Dude, this sounds like a lawsuit just waiting to happen with a result that is not favorable to you.
4d chess… this guy isn’t Dan Morgan
Looking forward to the company post to this sub. “Fired employee tried to screw us over, sued for 2x damages and won”
Why on earth did you publish this on your main, 12 year old account with what is apparently your actual name?
I’ve grown up in construction and know just how petty the industry can be. Regardless of the legalities you will be burning your bridges permanently. These people don’t forget. They will tell their children and grandchildren to steer clear of you. If you’re fine with that by all means go ahead with your plan but don’t be surprised if people are too afraid to work with you ever again
OP is an idiot for posting this. What a moron.
Maybe this is fake?
I think we all know why the company fired you. You come off as self centered and toxic.
I hope you are consulting to increase profit. Charging 30% revenue split with the subcontractors you raise revenue with for doing no additional work.
