Hey there, fellow recruiters! 👋 Have any of you made the switch from agency to in house recruiting? I’m in desperate need of some advice!
I’ve been in the agency world for 7 years now, and I’m feeling burned out. I’ve hit a wall at my current startup gig and I’m dying to transition to an in house role. I’ve led successful hiring projects, but I’m tired of managing a high req load and want the chance to actually lead the hiring process.
I know the challenges of in house recruiting are different, but I’m ready to take them on. Any tips or advice for a recruiter looking to make the switch? I would love to hear about your experiences and any strategies you found helpful.
Here are a few possible solutions that I’ve been considering:
– Network with professionals in in house recruiting for guidance
– Update resume and LinkedIn profile to highlight relevant experience in project leadership
– Attend recruiting conferences or workshops to gain more insights and knowledge
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts and suggestions! Let’s help each other out in this journey from agency to in house recruiting. 💡💼 #RecruitmentJourney #CareerGrowth #RecruiterCommunity
Now is not the time to try and move inhouse.
We are still feeling the impact from post-covid and now the market downturn.
We are the first teams to be let go in layoffs and the ones that were lucky enough to remain are under resourced and burnt out.
Many impacted by layoffs are still looking for work, some unemployed for 12 months or more. These are top TAs coming from well known start ups through to FAANGs.
