Hey everyone! 👋 I recently got laid off after almost 2 years at my entry-level job as a Technical Support Analyst. It’s been tough trying to land interviews in this competitive market, especially without any certifications or degrees in the field.
Here’s a bit about my background:
– Worked at a small MSP making $21/hr
– No technical certifications or degrees
– Interested in Ethical Hacking and Pentesting
– Currently taking the Google Cybersecurity course
I have strong customer service skills and a lot of experience working remotely, but I’m wondering if I should pursue my A+ and ITIL certifications or stick with my current path in cybersecurity.
Do you have any advice or suggestions for me? Should I focus on getting those certifications, or is there another path I should consider? Any input is greatly appreciated! 🙏
My suggestion for you:
– Consider getting your A+ and ITIL certifications to boost your technical skills
– Continue with your cybersecurity course to build a foundation in that field
– Network with professionals in the industry to gain insights and opportunities
Good luck on your job search! 🍀
The market kinda cooked I would suggest a temp agency might not be the perfect fit tho you might be doing admin assistant shit
