Hey there! Turning 27 soon and feeling like you haven’t accomplished anything in life? You’re not alone, and it’s okay to feel that way. But remember, it’s never too late to turn things around and pursue a path that brings you fulfillment and success. Here are a few suggestions that might help you navigate your next steps:
– Consider exploring certifications or vocational training in a field that interests you and has good earning potential 📚
– Look into online courses or programs that allow you to learn at your own pace and in a way that works for you 🖥️
– Reach out to career counselors or mentors who can provide guidance and support as you navigate your options 🤝
– Don’t be too hard on yourself – everyone’s journey is unique, and taking small steps towards your goals is progress in itself 💪
Remember, you have the power to shape your future and create a fulfilling career path. Don’t hesitate to seek help and explore different opportunities that align with your interests and strengths. You’ve got this! 🌟
It’s ok my dude. We’ve all been there. Apply to things you think will be a good time during normal hours. Avoid restaurants, dd, retail. Find a job with some nice co-workers
You are not pathetic. As cheesy as it sounds, go on your notes app and write a list of things you’re grateful for whether that be your bed, car, partner, etc. Gratitude is an effective antidote for when you’re in a rut. Sometimes you just need a reminder. Second, you should really look into therapy and get to the root of your depression and suicidal ideation. Maybe look into antidepressants. Remember that it’s never too late to pursue what you’re passionate about but you can’t be your best self when your mental health isn’t well. I wish you the best of luck on your journey!
Well what do you like doing?
My dude. Look into doing a trade. There’s a lot of trade schools out there. Find something you feel that you can do and go for it. There’s a lot of them that pay really well and have open positions. Trust me.
Education doesn’t mean shit. I have a bachelor’s and a master’s, and I’m here starting a job at 58k being 37 years old. I’m not even close to doing what I got my degree in.
It’s great you’ve had an office job and have had actual tangible experience. So don’t beat yourself down. You can find something good out there and do it. You can also just find work that only works off experience rather than education. Jobs such as being a claims adjuster for an insurance company come to mind where you just need experience with people rather than education. You don’t even need to have done insurance before.
Lastly, stop beating yourself up. You’re only 27. You have your whole life ahead of you. Give yourself credit for wanting to be better. Opportunity is out there, and all you need to do is to reach out and grab it. That goes for anyone out there. Wanting to be better is a huge start. Now you just need to get out there and do it. No matter what, don’t ever give up. You’ll find something if you stick to it. Trust me, it gets better.
” I’ve dropped out from all the courses/programs I’ve ever taken ”
The above statement provides your answer . No , you are not pathetic , you just need focus .
At 26 you are a quarter way through your life and only 8 years into your adult life . Plenty of time to find something you excel at ……….and there IS something out there that you will excel at .
Focus on finding something that you enjoy and you will motivate yourself.
I’ve achieved things , it might not be going to the noon but there are things , the further away they get from the present the less they seem to be of value but they are of value. Ur not too dumb for school , u just haven’t found the right subject that either gives u the drive to push through the difficulty or that u have some natural skill at . Try making ur goals smaller and work towards something more tangible than just a well paying job . It’s too vague otherwise. If u change ur mind about career later that’s fine, just reset ur goal posts . It’s even better if u have multiple dreams so if one can’t work out for whatever reason u have others to go for.
Dude even if a hobby like throwing axes , u get better at it, ur achievement is more than just getting better at throwing the axe, I’ve learned new learning methods , how to direct urself in the matter , all kinds of other things can be attached too, like making new friends , helping others throw axes better …. Take the small wins my dude .
Ask Allah, anything, ask Him, even if it seems impossible to you, just ask Him
Same situation as you, I dropped everything because I got suicidal. 27 and nothing to my name.
My question is, if I ask you I’m 27 and a loser what would you tell me?
If I looked at your situation, objectively, I would say that 27 isn’t still too late to figure out what you want to do. Maybe you were just not in the right frame of mind before. I would be kind to you.
Sucks I can’t be kind to myself.
I’m sure there are lots of things you’ve accomplished without realising! Don’t feel disheartened if you’re not where you thought you’d be in your mind. You never know you might get promoted in your office job. It’s not always about your education sometimes it’s being in the right place at the right time and knowing the right people. Don’t give up, there’s more to life than just your job 🙂
You either need a strong mind or a strong body to thrive in society. If you think you don’t have either, pick one you want to improve on. I would recommend going to an online school to get a degree in something useful. If you have no debt currently, it might be good to take some loans to get an online degree since they’re not that expensive and it’ll pay itself off later if you plan out your career well.
