Hey there, feeling lost in life can be tough, but you’re not alone. Let’s break it down and find some actionable steps to help you navigate through this challenging time.
## Evaluate Your Current Situation
First things first, let’s take a closer look at your current circumstances. You have 7k in savings in an investment account, paying £900 in rent monthly, and working as a Labourer. It seems like you’re feeling undervalued and unfulfilled in your job.
### Identify Your Goals
Think about what you truly want to achieve in life. Do you want to pursue a career in IT, given your BTEC L3 IT diploma? Are there any other interests or passions you have that you’d like to explore?
## Explore Your Options
### Consider Further Education
Even though you didn’t attend university, your IT diploma is still valuable. Look into certifications or short courses that can enhance your skills and open up new opportunities in the IT field.
### Networking and Job Search
Connect with professionals in the IT industry through networking events or online platforms like LinkedIn. Update your resume and start applying for IT-related jobs that align with your skills and interests.
## Mental and Emotional Well-being
### Seek Support
It’s important to prioritize your mental and emotional well-being. Consider talking to a therapist or counselor to help navigate through your feelings of loneliness and frustration.
### Self-Care
Find activities that help you relax and unwind after a long day at work. Whether it’s exercise, meditation, or hobbies, taking care of yourself is crucial for your overall well-being.
## Final Thoughts
Remember, feeling lost is just a temporary state. By taking proactive steps towards your goals and seeking support when needed, you can start to move forward. Stay positive, be patient with yourself, and know that better days are ahead. You’ve got this! 🌟
Dude it’s rough out here. I’m in a similar situation 24 years old, (live in California) rent is $750 and I’m only working about 25 hours a week.
Been actively looking for a job since late March & 2 months later I’ve struck out more times than I care to remember. I’ve been to all the staffing agencies within a 100 mile radius.
If this keeps up I might have to live in my car for a bit. But I’m working on getting my CDL class A to become a truck driver. I really hope that is my ticket out to a stable life but gotta transfer my license from Texas to California first before school.
If no ties to London, look nationwide or even abroad for something that interests you. Perfect age to up sticks and look for something else. I went on a bi-annual facebook trawl of people i went to school with and a number of them are out in Dubai selling houses or started a business in Singapore. That could be you, Turn the hate for your job into motivation to get out. Apprenticheships? What do you want to do? Having a goal and working towards it helps keep your mind focused
>heres an overview of what I am
All of that idea of what you are is a thought.
Imagine yourself to be something different until your actions start to align with that. Keep pumping your mind full of the image that you want.
“Manifest it bro”
But really, the mind is the forerunner of all actions. And, as a 24M doomer, I can tell you that sitting around dooming is not going to get you anywhere, it just feeds more negativity into your mind, causing you to look for more negativity, and believe more negative things about yourself.
I see this people talking about how you should manifest it and change the perspective.. and i think the words are just harsh.. but so true.. i get told the same thing. I still don t know what to do. I lost me.. and not others, but they keep playing with my life like it would be yours. I wish and i hope and i do believe that at some point, we will have it figured out.
