Have you ever wondered if the grass is truly greener on the other side when it comes to switching agencies? 🌱💼
🤔 Is it really different at another agency or is it just more of the same with a different name?
Some things to consider:
– Company culture and values
– Team dynamics and collaboration
– Work-life balance and flexibility
While a change in scenery may bring in more money, true job enjoyment often stems from a positive work environment and fulfilling work tasks.
So, what has your experience been like? Share your thoughts and let’s discuss if it’s really different at another agency! 🤝💬 #AgencyLife #CareerChange #JobSatisfaction
Yep it definitely can be better at other agencies. Happy to give you insight into any of them if you want to message me. I’ve been in agency since 2012 and personally love it most of the time.
Of course it can be different, but as with most answers, it will depend.
A smaller boutique agency will probably be a lot different than a large staffing agency. But ultimately, agency is agency.
Yes and no. I’ve worked at 2 agencies, the day-to-day work is the same but the culture/leadership is much different. My first agency was high stress, insane metrics, micromanagement, lead by fear, frat boy “rah rah” culture, etc.. I hated everything about it, but I made a lot of money.
Agency I’m at now is laid back, doesn’t give a shit about metrics if you’re meeting start goals, zero micromanagement, no after hours work, etc.. but I’m making about 40% less than I was making at the high stress agency. I’m much happier now though, lol.
Yes it is. I worked at a small, shitty agency for my first few years and it was awful. I recently switched to a larger more established agency and it’s like night and day – the culture is better, the promotion pathway is clear, there are more resources for learning, etc. Also, the market that you work in can make a world of difference.
What kind of agency are you at now?
I went from a boutique staffing Company to a large staffing agency. It was jumping from the skillet into the fire. I went to another boutique staffing agency, worst job I ever had. I ended up back at the original boutique staffing agency!
Yep, it can be very different. But theres no running from the grind. I see a lot of people jump agencies only to realize they just hate the sales aspect of recruiting.
I’m in a very similar boat and glad you asked. These responses are a little disheartening, but enlightening. Does anyone have suggestions on decent r2r firms? Are they even still out there with the flooded market?
Your enjoyment will generally come from how successful you are and how fast you can ramp up. The more trust and money you bring in the more they let you get away with murder.
So it depends on your strengths. If you just recruiting but suck at sales then don’t join an agency where they are struggling in sales or don’t have established long standing companies. Even within the same big agency there are different departments with their own subculture.
