Hey there, fellow job warriors 🌟
I finally hit my breaking point after experiencing job trauma after job trauma. From sexist discrimination in the craft beer industry to being asked to commit a crime, it’s been a wild ride. And don’t even get me started on the terrible unemployment system here in Iowa 🙄
Here are some core memories that have left me exhausted and mentally drained:
– 2013: Fired for standing up against gender discrimination
– 2020/2021: Jobs had to hire two people to replace me due to workload
– 2023: Stalked by a supervisor
– 2023: Written up for attending my grandmother’s funeral
– 2024: Asked to commit a crime or be fired
I’ve reached out to a mental health hotline today because I’m not sure if I can make it to next year. Every interview I go to seems to want me to work insane hours for barely any pay 💸
So, what the actual heck do I do now? Anyone have any advice or solutions for navigating these challenging job market waters?
Possible solutions:
– Seek legal advice for workplace discrimination
– Consider exploring remote work opportunities
– Focus on self-care and mental health support 🌿
Let’s lift each other up and support one another through these tough times. Together, we can navigate this crazy job landscape! 💪 #SupportEachOther #JobMarketStruggles
This is a crazy story. You could’ve just said no
Start reporting your jobs to the department of labor whenever they try illegal shit like this. Stop sending reports to HR who is NOT YOUR FRIEND.
I’m sorry you’re going through this. I hope the mental health hotline can help you in this time of need.
Hope it all works out for you. Might come across wrong, but I’ve always just told myself it could be worse when I find myself in these gloomy situations. Talking things out always helps if you can confide in someone.
Get out of the US
Just leave that shit and move to Europe.
