Ā #Linkedin #companies #blocking #jobs
Do you ever scroll through your Linkedin feed and see countless job postings from the same companies over and over again? š Wouldn’t it be nice if you could just block those companies from appearing in your feed altogether?
I mean, it’s not a perfect solution to the ghost job epidemic on Linkedin, but it would definitely make the platform 70% better, don’t you think?
Here’s how blocking companies on Linkedin could be a game changer:
– It would declutter your feed and show you more relevant job opportunities.
– You wouldn’t waste time scrolling through repetitive postings from companies you’re not interested in.
– It could potentially improve your overall user experience on the platform.
So, do you agree that Linkedin would be 70% better if blocking companies was an option? What are your thoughts on this? Let’s discuss and share ideas on how Linkedin can improve to better serve its users! š¬š
It would, but they cater to their customers (companies), not job seekers (the product they’re selling to their customers).Ā Ā
I get the feeling [johnpersonrecruiter@microsoftjobs.indeed.google.crypto.onlinepoker.internetcomany.net.ru](mailto:johnpersonrecruiter@microsoftjobs.indeed.google.crypto.onlinepoker.internetcomany.net.ru) from “A leading main direct Google and whoever else you are interested in partner” that keeps being impressed with my profile that aligns with his Fortune 500 company client partner while asking questions that would be answered by reading my profile will get around this.
But I do love the idea. Does anyone on the sub know how to submit a feature request to LI that would get read by a human who may act on it?
If you use https://first2apply.com/ with the advanced matching feature you can block jobs from certain companies in linkedin
They should have the option to report directly to the labor board
Heavy Resume will allow job seekers to give feedback about their experience with companies. If a company isn’t being respectful, you’ll know about it when you try to apply. The company will also know they are getting that feedback and can try to rectify the issue.
The product is still getting the MVP built so I anticipate this being sometime after that.
I’d be nice if LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed et al stopped notifying of a position if you already applied for it.
Looking at you “PCE Solutions” here in Vancouver. Your position wasn’t interesting when you first posted it in late May, but I applied for it 3 weeks later after getting spammed by Indeed and Glassdoor multiple times per day in the hope that it would stop notifying me about that job.
It didn’t. Still getting in early July.
Also blocking by country
Epic is hiring [position] in [your city], and youād be a top applicant! *Must be willing to relocate to BFE, Wisconsin
This is hilarious timing because i created a tool just to address this earlier this week:

You can add companies to the filter so you no longer see their job posting. Same goes for job keywords.
While iām at it, if you end up using it, feel free to give me any suggestions or feedback!
Same with all social media
