Hey everyone! 👋 Have you ever been in a situation where you started a new job, but for personal reasons, you’re thinking about leaving before it’s been a year? I need some advice on how to navigate this tricky situation without burning bridges or getting blacklisted. Here’s my dilemma:
I started a new job within the last 6 months, but I’m considering going back to a previous employer due to personal life reasons, not work-related issues. I really like the people at my current job, and I don’t want to ruin any potential future opportunities with this company. So, what can I do to leave as smoothly as possible and reduce my chances of being blacklisted?
Here are a few possible solutions I’ve been thinking about:
– Have an honest conversation with my current employer about my situation
– Offer to help with the transition or find a replacement before leaving
– Ask for a reference or recommendation letter to maintain a positive relationship
Do you have any other suggestions or personal experiences to share? I’d love to hear your thoughts on how to handle this delicate situation. Let’s help each other out! 💬 #CareerAdvice #JobChange #Blacklist
At any decent company, a proper termination does not prevent rehire.
Put in a notice, and act cordial.
Resign, be helpful in the transition and give them as much notice as possible. Then, keep up on your connections there.
