Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a bit about my current situation and see if anyone has any advice or words of encouragement. 🙏
I’m 21 years old, alone in the US with no family or friends. I’ve been working hard at various jobs for the past two years, trying to make ends meet. My dream is to serve in the army and work in law enforcement, but my immigration status is holding me back. Here are some key points about my situation:
– Can’t enlist in the army without a green card
– Wait time for a green card is 6-8 years for refugees
– Limited free time due to work and training
– Finances are tight, making it difficult to pursue other opportunities
It’s been a tough journey, and sometimes I feel like I’m running out of options. If anyone has been in a similar situation or has any advice on how to navigate this tough spot, I would really appreciate it.
Possible solutions I’ve considered:
– Seeking out legal assistance for immigration options
– Exploring scholarships or financial aid for education
– Reaching out to military support networks for guidance
I know I’m not alone in facing these challenges, so I’m hoping to start a conversation and hear from others who may have valuable insights. Let’s support each other and share knowledge to help each other in times of need. 💪
Thank you for listening and for any advice you may have to offer. Let’s lift each other up! 🌟
Have you considered coaching/training others in jiu-jitsu? One-on-one personal coaching can make some solid cash in the right areas.
There seems to be no work around for speeding up what you want. Maybe you can keep pestering the recruiter might find you another avenue.
Go look at drone warfare over on combat footage…enlisting in 2024 is pure madness
