#WorkplaceChallenges #NewCEO #MoraleBoost
Hey everyone! Have you ever had to deal with a new CEO coming in and completely changing everything you’ve worked so hard to establish? 🤯 I’m currently in that situation at my niche specialty union contracting company, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride!
Here are some key points to consider:
– The new CEO’s lack of industry knowledge has led to some major challenges in our estimating process
– Morale within the team is at an all-time low due to conflicts and stress over the new changes
– Some team members are considering jumping ship, adding even more pressure on those of us who are staying put
While the situation may seem overwhelming, there are always solutions to be found:
– Open communication with the new CEO about the challenges you are facing can help bridge the gap and potentially lead to a better understanding of your industry
– Seeking additional training on the new software can help you and your team become more proficient with the tools at hand
– Encouraging team bonding activities outside of work can help boost morale and create a more positive work environment
Remember, we’re all in this together and there is always a way to overcome challenges like these. Hang in there, and let’s support each other through this tough time! 💪 #TeamWork #Adaptability
I am an old guy, and maybe it’s just me, but I somehow usually came out ahead after senior management changes where everything got turned on its head. No one ever comes in and says, “Gee, everything is just perfect the way it is, so I am not changing anything.” So people often quit and others get let go but in my case it created opportunities for upward mobility. This did, however, mean I had to play the game while working for the new clueless MBA who wreaked havoc.
New CEO came in and shut down two of our plants and moved all the work to the “corporate” plant. Took most of our work too. Like yours our moral is 0 and most people are in open conflict over trivial things. On top of it all he micromanages everything. He should just fire all the managers at this point since he knows everything and can do it himself.
I remind my team to ride the wave. These private equity guys come and go. We have a job to do and we can’t let corporate politics and people’s egos get in our way. It’s also important to document everything and have your CYA file in case people play the blame game. Best of luck to you, ride the wave my friend.
The company that I work for also changed ceo… he also changes everything. I am just waiting to see when the shitshow starts and I cannot wait to hand in my resignation when that happens.
It took you 2 years to adjust to the last CEO? I don’t doubt that there is some challenging change going on. However, I can’t help but think you let this get to you more than it should.
