#NeighborTroubles #RentalPropertyIssues #DangerousDogs
Hey everyone, I need some advice on a troubling situation we’re facing with a malicious neighbor 🏡🐾
Here’s the scoop:
– Our neighbor released his vicious dogs to attack someone in front of our rental property
– Victim wasn’t our tenant, but it seems the neighbor targeted them thinking they were
– The dogs have a history of aggression, attacking people and other pets in the area 🐕💔
– We reported the incident to the police and animal control stepped in to seize the dog 🚓
Now we’re left wondering:
– What can we do to protect our tenants and ourselves from this dangerous neighbor?
– Do we have the legal standing to take action against them, like filing for a restraining order?
– How do we notify tenants about the situation and ensure their safety?
– Selling the property isn’t an option, so how can we navigate this situation without going bankrupt?
Any helpful tips or insights would be greatly appreciated! Let’s brainstorm together and find a solution to this scary dilemma 🤔💡 #CommunitySupport #RentalPropertySafety
Call the police. You don’t need to be the victim to report a serious crime
you need to file with the police on your behalf, then file with your county or local animal control. Keep all videos and any evidence close, and set up cameras around the ENTIRE property!! I would suggest getting at least a 6-8 foot privacy fence installed as well, not just for your safety as the owners but for your tenants.
have you spoken to the police yet?
