If you want it bad enough, you’ll get it. There’s no blueprint everyone follows. Work hard, learn from your mistakes, and maybe get a job in the field you’re aiming to start a business in, so you can learn hands on. Nothing comes easy, whatever challenge you expect, multiply it by 100.
Always be a student. Learn from others, network, and be the learner every time, even when you think you know it all.
**1. List Your Strengths -** Write down everything you’re good at, what you’re currently working on, and things you’ve tackled in the past. Think of it as picking a passion but with a little more thought behind it.
**2. Start Small -** It’s way easier to build things right from the ground up than to fix them later. So, test your ideas on a small scale, ideally for little to no cost. If it clicks, you might be onto something great..**|**
**3. Gradually Scale Up -** Once you’ve found what works, grow steadily. Whether it’s just you or you’re bringing in extra help, be cautious about overhiring or overspending. Take your time and expand thoughtfully.

– Abe Lincoln
Educate yourself on business marketing, business management, financial management, financial planning etc…. You’ll start to see opportunities along the way to either learn more or find ways to make money. It happens fairly quickly, but your mind is your best asset. Sharpen it.
Forget all the hogwash about finding your passion. You want riches? No problem, allow me to baptize you in the waters of wisdom and the money will seek you.
**1.) Forget the fools.**
Treat yourself with some respect. Everything you consume – food, books, people, education, and **books again** – needs to be putting pressure on your back, nudging you even if you feel like you’re treading. I spent two years in a 20 x 15 ft. room with a rowdy bunch of hooligans who cared about two things: women and beer. The experiences? I’ll never forget them, albeit it was the most unproductive I ever was and ever will be. Make the decision to eliminate the living, breathing apathy from your life and chase the mighty dollar. **You want riches?** This is where you start. This is where you understand potential.
**2.) Trim the fat off your money.**
Oh yes, money is no different from you and I. Leave it to rest and it’ll start packing on the weight. **Keep your money moving.** If you want control, put your money on a treadmill by investing in mutual funds, ETFs, or hell, buy a bond! As long as your dollars aren’t wallowing around in your back pocket, **you’re on your way.** This kind of investing is tried and assuring, and it’s mere clicks away. Trust me when I say this. **The money will find you.** Never allow a bank to trick you into thinking putting your money in one of their “preferred” accounts will put you ahead under any circumstances. It won’t, and the banks benefit from you more than you do them. **Always.** Keep those little guys in the market, in property, and in personal ventures you believe will return you more money. (Perhaps refrain from this avenue until you’ve acquired financial security, which, by the way, you just might if you take me seriously).
**3.) Passions are overrated, go fail.**
You said it yourself. *Rags to riches.* If you can do something exceptionally well, (and I m**ean exceptionally well** ) I don’t think you’d be very worried about this rags to riches idea. So, I’m going to simply assume you’re average at most things, which everyone is. **Failure is your key to achievement.** We could sit down and talk about how important failing is, but you’ll never understand until you begin failing **all the time.** Go put yourself in super uncomfortable situations and work your way out of them. Believe me when I say this. After a while, you begin to feel like a god. I held a 20 min. conversation with a park ranger supervisor convincing him of my legitimacy as a summer park intern just to prove to myself I could do it. It was after hours, and once I was allowed in I turned back around and drove out. You’ll figure that **everything is manipulable** and that you’re adept at dealing everything. This broad, “T” shaped intellect will escort you from the rags part over to the “primed for riches” part. Not quite there, but surely capable. Talk to anyone who’s fabulously wealthy. They’ll possess knowledge on topics they have no reasonable purpose in understanding.
Oh, and don’t forget to brush morning and night. Nobody likes stinky breath.
Marketing: Start with 15 USD, use that to hire people from Fiverr, cold call and meet up local businesses and offer these services as if you’re the expert in web design. Get contracts. If you end up doing a good job like what every other marketing agency is doing then you’ll have repeat and consistent business and in a year should have 40-50K. Next step after that who knows.
Stalin style five year plan eh?
I imagine most of the people responding are worth less than $1m, here’s how to get rich.
0. Dare to Dream.
1. Find a problem or opportunity, the bigger the problem the bigger the return.
2. Work like a fucking fiend until you can’t work anymore to solve the problem, this is your starting point, now you’re starting to solve the problem.
3. Run into your own limitations, use whatever tools you can get your hands on to break your own limitations.
4. Sacrifice everything else in your life to solve this problem this problem is more important than your child.
5. Profit
