Just left the most toxic job. 🚫👎 I was only there for three months but my toxic manager was something for the record books. There’s nothing more dangerous than an insecure woman on a power trip who’s trying to become a member of the boys club. Fourteen weeks of hostile behavior & mismanagement and I just about lost my mind. But guess what? I lucked out by getting a better paying job and just up and quit with no notice the same day. 💼💨
It amazes me that a well known company would keep a toxic manager on the payroll who’s been an HR nightmare for years. 🤯
So, what do you do when faced with a toxic work environment like this? Here are a few possible solutions:
– Stand up for yourself and don’t tolerate toxic behavior.
– Document everything – it could come in handy if you need to take further action.
– Seek support from HR or higher management, if applicable.
– If all else fails, find a new job and don’t hesitate to leave for your own sanity and well-being.
Remember, don’t take shit from anyone. Life’s too short. Keep pushing forward and know your worth! 💪 #SelfCare #ToxicWorkCulture
[In.my](http://In.my) experience, women who work with/directly under other women almost always get along really well as they bond over their shared experiences of overcoming sexism in the workplace but I guess your situation is the exception but it sounds like it’s the patriarchal culture of your workplace more than her
Good for you! I’m glad you were able to get a replacement job so quick.
I myself am in the middle of a toxic job because of a power tripping sorority girl. I am still hunting for a job but the job market has been too hard on me. I would quit without a backup but I was unemployed last year for too long and need to build my savings up a bit more.
I did en up reporting my manager to HR and next week I’m confronting my manager. I just realized not too long ago that I normally don’t take shit from anyone in my life so why should work me be any different than real me?
Same boat with toxic people. Not given the right tools to do the job and people talking behind your back and the back stabbing is at a different level than what I have seen. Benefits are amazing along with the schedule but finally at my breaking point so out there looking for another job while I try to do the most basic work to keep this job. If I didn’t have a family to support I would quit in a heart beat and take my chances in the market.
GOOD FOR YOU! This is too common and we should all do this more often.
I’m in this position. Just started this job and it’s been hell! I took a pay cut just to be closer to home. Benefits are good but people are toxic AF. It’s a small company so no HR. I have talked to my boss about the situation and it only made it worst.
I started looking for jobs over the weekend. Good luck to you 🙏🏽
I agree with this so much.
