Hey guys, building a platform startup can be challenging, especially when it comes to getting the word out there. So, I’m curious, how do you make your platform known in the early stages? 🚀
Here are a few strategies I’ve found helpful for raising customer awareness and getting that initial traction:
– Utilize social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn to engage with your target audience and share updates about your platform. 📱
– Collaborate with influencers or industry experts who can help promote your platform to their followers. 🤝
– Guest post on relevant blogs or websites to reach a wider audience and establish credibility in your niche. 📝
– Consider hosting webinars or virtual events to showcase your platform and provide value to potential customers. 🎥
What are some other ways you’ve found effective in making your platform known? Let’s share our insights and help each other grow! 💡
It totally depends on how much you’re sold on your idea and how much risk you can take on yourself. Yes, ads are expensive but it’s a way to bring money in to the company, consider it an investment.
You need to go out meet people and pitch them your platform to every living soul you see, like in the old times we used to do.
you need to be doing that before you even lay down any code.
all the people you talk with during your business validation/research.
if you really were building a product that is sorely needed, you can talk to those people before, during and after.
When I launched my first app I spun up a simple ad on canva and launched a $500 Facebook ad for people to join a waiting list in exchange for receiving free exclusive first access. Signed up 10,000 users in 2 months while we started building it.
Gauge interest first with a very simple “SVP”- the svp is your shittiest viable product. Test the market first
You talk directly to users. Go where they are (online and offline), speak to them, tell them about your solution. It’s rare for ads to do anything early on
Hiring a good professional can get you much cheaper results from online ads (making their fee worth your while) but the cheapest way is to leverage your personal brand and existing network. It just feels awkward. Checkout https://launchbot.app/waitlist for a cool upcoming tool to reduce marketing spend.
