#CompensationDispute #AirlineCompensation #BankTransfer #UKDomicile
Hey everyone! 🌟
So, I recently won a compensation dispute with an airline and now they need to transfer the sum to me. I provided my bank details, but they are asking for a “corresponding UK domicile according to the bank account provided.” 🤔
Any ideas on what that means and how I can get one? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Possible Solution:
– A UK domicile refers to your permanent home or residence in the UK. If you don’t have one, you may need to provide proof of address in the UK, such as a utility bill or rental agreement. Check with your bank for specific requirements.
Let me know if you have any advice or suggestions! Thanks in advance! 💬💡
They are just asking for your address
Just commenting to follow. I think they are asking you to prove you are UK domicile but the sentence as you’ve quoted is non-sensical.
According to their T&Cs – https://www.compensair.com/en/payment-policy/
You need to send them bank details and a copy of your passport. It also sounds like they want your address.
But, I have to ask, why have you chosen this service? They’re going to take 30% – 40% of your compensation, just for filling in a few forms!
Provide your U.K. address but it has to match whichever address is listed on your bank account.
Going through this with ryanair, you should use aviation adr which is the orgnisation overseeing complains against aorlines and go through their process.
You submit your stuff, the airline replies, then you have 1 more time to reply to their reply to the ADR, which will then make a decision, if you win you submit your bank details and the airline has 14days to pay you.
Do know that the whole process takes a while, they have up to 90 days for their first reply and they will lrpbably take all the 90days.
I won my case and they have refunded me.
