#LaidOff #ToxicWorkplace #JobInterviews #CareerGrowth
Hey everyone! So, I wanted to share something that’s been on my mind lately. You know how we often hear about people being “laid off”? Well, I think that’s a bit too generous in my case – I’m really just being fired. 😩 Let me break it down for you:
- Rough Relationship with Bosses: For months now, my bosses have been incredibly rude and condescending. It feels like I’m constantly being scrutinized, and my hard work is often ignored. 🙄
- Lack of Support: Everything I do requires their approval, but they seem to have a million “other things” to worry about. I’ve had to set my own deadlines for them to get back to me, but more often than not, I find myself waiting until the last minute. 😤
- Feeling Undervalued: This place is a toxic environment. I feel underpaid, underappreciated, and growth opportunities are practically non-existent. Who wants to come into a job where respect is out the window? 🚪
- Current Situation: Now that I’ve been given the news of my layoff, I find myself doing the bare minimum. And when my boss got frustrated with me, I realized it was time to move on. I’ve got two job interviews lined up and am actively applying to more! 💪
So, what do you think? Have any of you ever faced a similar situation in a toxic workplace? How did you deal with it? Any tips on managing up or transitioning to a new job? I’d love to hear your experiences! Let’s chat! 💬
If your getting fired, I’d just stop showing up. Or job search on their time. Fucke them and that treatement, they can pay for the time it takes for you to replace them.
Sorry. At least you’re leaving the toxicity behind. I wouldn’t stick it out a minute longer when you find a new job.
Go Union!! Beat the Boss!!
What many people don’t realize:
Unions give a certain amount of protection against the psycho bosses. Not complete protection, but some.
My wife’s work used to have a Union. At one point the union endorsed the losing candidate for governor, so the a-hole governor Scott Walker retaliated by deunionizing her work. Turned my wife from a Republican to a Democrat overnight, but that’s a different story.
Some years ago my wife had some squabbles with a toxic boss who almost got her fired. If she still had a union, she would have had some protection. Instead, she had to hire an employment attorney.
It’s like the last two weeks of senior year, go to work drunk in your pajamas. What are they gonna do, fire you?
Are you collecting a paycheck over the next four months?
Looks like you’re getting paid to job-search on their dime! Congratulations!!!
