Not surprising. It’s a web dev position, lots of Indians can handle the job just fine with a lot lower salary. If Chinese people can speak English as fluent as Indians most SWE jobs in US are done.
Looks like it’s part of their Global News India office, so I’m not sure if it’s really accurate to say it’s “offshoring”. OpenAI has a London office. Doesn’t mean they are offshoring jobs to the UK. Same concept.
