Hey there! Let’s chat about something that many of us deal with, no matter what level we’re at in our careers. Do you often feel a bit of stress creeping in every day when you think about heading to work? 🏢😩
I can totally relate! Some things that weigh on my mind include:
- The Office Politics: Navigating through complicated relationships and dynamics can be exhausting!
- Workload Woes: Sometimes feeling overwhelmed by projects or deadlines really adds to the stress.
- Career Ambitions: Wondering if I’m on the right path can be a source of anxiety as well.
Is this kind of stress just part of the job, or do others feel this way too? 🤔 I often wonder if it’s normal or if there’s something I can do to ease this tension. Maybe it’s a common thread that links us all together in the professional world? 📈

Not at all. I have no equity in the business. My budget works without my bonus. Why would I stress? It’s the partners’ problem.
Yes, but probably not much more stress than people in normal jobs.
I feel some acute stress about making correct decisions and some chronic stress about my long term future and stuff.
I’d say it’s not very stressful for me overall, but not everyone handles stress the same way.
tf you talking about college football’s back on
Sometimes I will solve problems or think about phrasing for my credit memos while I’m laying in bed, but I’m never stressed about my work. And I stress even less now that I’m looking for a new job lol.
No, I stress about my future work💀💀
I work in corporate finance. Hardly stressed, maybe those one or two days a month when we have monthly close deadlines, but otherwise its fucking cake.
There’s probably some level of stress that’s inherent to anyones job. Like dreading Monday because you know a notoriously difficult deal is on your plate and it needs to be done when you get back to the office. That’s pretty normal.
Anything else, that’s above my pay grade so I don’t think about it. That’s how I see things anyway. Has worked out well so far for me.
Gotta learn how to unplug, dude. It’s Saturday night, go do literally anything that isn’t work related.
I thought it was only me. Every fucking day I keep stressing about work. Even on weekends I just can’t get my mind away stressing about office stuff. I don’t know… I think I should take it easy
Whether you have a high management job or a regular employee position stress will always be experienced at some point. I think it’s the way we process it that is important. I hate to say this but as humans we have been hardwired with this “stress feeling ” as a survival mechanism to sharpen our focus and increase our readiness for survival (fight or flight). Now we live in modern society that has completely different landscape and challenges but our mind/body reacts the same. Use your powers wisely. Know they self. Whenever you get stressed know it’s just your mind alerting you to get things in order.
If the 1st, and 2nd level of managers are human, then the company environment is in itself becomes to good and enjoyable. But when we hire pigs for managerial positions, the company goes for a toss.
It’s a coincidence that I came across this post especially this weekend. I’ve been feeling angry about something that happened on Friday. And it keeps coming back, which is annoying.
But yes totally. To your point, feel stressed thinking about work everyday doing normal stuff like brushing teeth, while on treadmill etc.
Anyone has any tips to totally forget about work after leaving work?
I do but have reduced the habit
Its tricky to stop thinking about work especially when there’s a lot/ environment is poor
But you need to for mental peace!
