– In many cases, landing your second job can be easier than your first because you already have some experience under your belt.
– Your network from your first job can be a valuable resource in helping you secure your second job.
– Your skills and knowledge from your first job can make you a more attractive candidate for employers.

a LOT easier but it still required a lot of effort and time bc i was much pickier with my second job (after learning from first job’s experience) and wanted to be more deliberate with my career path
it’s much easier but it really depends. if you’re going for a substantial boost in pay, tech, etc, it will be hard.

It’s easier in the sense that you don’t have the crushing feeling of impending doom (i.e running out of money) as you search and do leetcode while you continue to work at your first job. Unless you got laid off at your first job, which would suck.
Generally speaking though it would depend on your experience at your first job. If you did actual work and had impact and used relevant languages/frameworks/etc, easier. If you did nothing but coast, probably harder.
I will let u kno im job hunting lols
i’m still stuck in my first job cause of this market lmao
Not in this market
How about getting your third job? Is that substantially easier than the first and second?
If it wasn’t for this economy it would be pretty easy.
A lot easier mentally because you already have a job. Even if it takes 6 months of light applying you’re still gainfully employed.
You may get more interviews with good experience, but you still have to perform during the interviews. If anything expectations in interviews go up with experience.
For example, would a company hire someone with 10 YOE for Senior pay when their interview performances is not any better then Junior SWE. Maybe you get down-leveled if you are lucky, but most companies will just pass on you.
It depends on the economy. But generally speaking, it doesn’t get easier. The more experienced you are, the more is expected of you.
Have you had girlfriends/boyfriends in the past?
Was your 2nd boy/girlfriend easier to come by?
For me a lot harder to land one but I think that’s the market. But on the flip side I’ve had more interest from more companies due to not being a new grad when I actually have gotten a chance to talk to them.
Hard to say for sure given this job market. I’d like to think that it’s easier but that has not been my experience.
When I got my first job in 2022 (where I’m currently at) I got around 5 interviews after sending out like 150 applications. Keep in mind that I had no degree and was completely self taught.
Fast forward to today with 2yoe and a CS degree and after sending out over 200 applications (admittedly pretty casually) I’ve only gotten 2 interviews. Both of which were roles that paid less than where I’m currently at.
Depends on the market
Always harder. More senior positions tend to be more competitive.
I am still in my first job, but the economic situations is not comparable to when I joined.
It theoretically is
Still stuck in the first one. Almost 3 years now ☠️
Depends on the kind of job you go for, if you have relevant experience, if you push for something harder or higher or more or less the same, etc.
I quit my job 9 months ago and travelled for 7, thinking it would be easy to find a new job.
It isn’t
