Hey everyone! 👋 Have you ever experienced a doctor making up a medical condition about you? I recently went through a situation where a doctor misdiagnosed me, causing me to be out of work for 13 months and spend thousands of dollars on unnecessary tests. 😞 Here’s a quick rundown:
– Doctor diagnosed me with seizures and cognitive decline when I actually had ocular hypertension
– Admitted his mistake after I completed all the tests to prove my innocence
– FAA and my company are making me jump through hoops to clear my name and get back to work
Now, I’m wondering if I have any legal recourse to sue for lost wages and the money spent on tests. Any advice or similar experiences to share? I would greatly appreciate any insights or recommendations! 🤔💸 #MedicalMalpractice #WorkCompensation #LawyersAdvice
You have the right as a patient to request amendments to your chart for inaccurate information as outlined by the Centers of Medicaid and Medicare. Was this ever requested and done? If the physician has already admitted their mistake it would seem likely that they would amend their charting to reflect accurate information.
