Kim Jong Un: The Mysterious Dictator
When we think of Kim Jong Un, what comes to mind? Is it his totalitarian regime, nuclear threats, or perhaps his bizarre public appearances? Despite leading a reclusive and isolated nation, Kim Jong Un manages to captivate the world’s attention with his unpredictable behavior and power-hungry actions.

Xi Jinping: The Enigmatic Leader
In contrast, Xi Jinping, the President of the People’s Republic of China, is known for his ambitious Belt and Road Initiative, crackdown on corruption, and strong-arm tactics in handling dissent. Despite being the leader of the most populous country in the world and a major global economic player, Xi Jinping seems to have a lower profile compared to his North Korean counterpart.
– China’s economic powerhouse status 🇨🇳
– Xi Jinping’s consolidation of power within the Communist Party 🏛️
– The controversial social credit system in China 📜
Why the Discrepancy?
So, why is Kim Jong Un more famous than Xi Jinping? Could it be the media’s fascination with Kim’s outlandish antics or the way North Korea is portrayed as a real-life “dystopian” society? Perhaps it’s the fear factor associated with a dictator who possesses nuclear capabilities. Regardless of the reasons, the global spotlight seems to shine brighter on Kim Jong Un, much to the bewilderment of many.
– Media sensationalism surrounding North Korea 🎥
– North Korea’s secretive and closed-off nature 🔒

He does have a kind of real life James Bond villian thing going
Kim Jong Un at least mostly just fucks his own people. Xi Jinping is actively trying to influence the world to go in a worse direction. For being less famous he sure is the worst one of the two when it comes to their global impact.
Kim got The Interview what does Xi got? nothing
That’s deliberate.
The CCP’s manifesto is pretty clear on the fact that no one politician should have any level of “fame”. The idea being that famous leaders are prone to tyranny or acting more like kings and emperors rather than just being another party member, and that the people are prone to worship leaders like this which they believe is bad.
Say what you want about everything else they believe, but personally I’m a big fan of this idea.
And you can see the idea behind this philosophy in Kim Jong Un (who is literally worshipped by the people, people that are indoctrinated and forced into worshipping him mind you) and in US politics where the whole thing has descended into cult worship of one rickety old moron or the other.
Bit I am sure more people would recognize [Xi] (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/10/Winniethepooh.png) from a random picture than [Kim](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6e/Kim_Jong-un_April_2019_%28cropped%29.jpg)
More dangerous but predictable vs less dangerous and unpredictable.
It’s like if you’re in a room with a navy seal and a schizophrenic hobo with a knife. You know the navy seal can easily fuck you up, but you’re gonna be keeping eyes on the crazy knife man.
Xi Jinping is more competent to not stand out and be a class clown, that’s why he is talked about less.
Eee No, Xi is way more famous. These 2 have very little in common at first light so comparing them together is wierd
However when we look deeper the two have work together for very long time
But yall normal people are not suppose to know that and Kim Jong Un is famous for his isolationist politics but Xi Jinping is way more famous then Kim Jong Un and has more power. What Im trying to say is that you are wrong but not as wrong as you may think(if that makes any sense)
Feels like Xi actively avoids being in the spotlight
Famous to who?
If fame is about how many people know and follow who you are and what you’re doing, I’m pretty sure 1.4 billion Chinese people are more aware of who Xi is and follow what he is saying or doing more than the 26 million in North Korea plus, let’s say, all 300 million Americand and all 67 million in the UK.
Far more famous? Most people on this planet couldnt give a crap who Kim Jong Un is. He’s nothing more than a cult leader bully waiting to be assassinated. The entire country is long overdue for revolution. That is what would probably make him more famous than Xi.
He has a far better P.R. team, lol.
Winnie the Pooh is way more famous than Kim jong un
Kim Jong Un is like a little dog that barks and yaps at everyone, Xi is a big bad dog who is thinking about who to maul but not making a move until he is sure.
I’m sure there are people who might thought that Xi Jinping is a name of a famous panda.
Empty can rattles the most – Metallica.
At least from your perspective.
He is friends with celebrities like Dennis Rodman.
Not in China he’s not
Can you recommend any of your all-time favourite wRPGs?
Haven’t you seen the government funded videos about his greatness? He is the greatest golfer that’s ever lived. He’s literally the best at every sport today. Why wouldn’t he be? /Joke
One wants to be seen as a big bad cruel despot. One wants is trying to avoid people realizing how much of a big bad cruel despot they are
Oh you mean winnie the pooh?
I mean I am pretty sure the 1.4 billion people who live in China would disagree that he’s more famous.
Yes. He’s *infamous*. They’re not exactly the same *kind* of famous.
Is he, though? 🤔
Xi Jinping is extremely freaking well-known, come on. You might need to expand your sources of news if you don’t hear of him.
Because China is ruled by a party, North Korea is ruled by a dictator.
To be fair, Xi gets invited to way more parties.
The idiots always stand out
Tik Tok: “Hold my beer…”

Any publicity is good publicity.
I’d say their “popularity” is on par with each other but are viewed with different lenses.
They both have nukes and don’t like the US. That is what I would focus on.
