Is it okay for a married coworker to compliment me at work? How can I handle private conversations with a coworker who has a wife and kids? How can I address feeling scared due to past experiences of sexual harassment at work? How should I navigate interactions with a coworker who may have misunderstood my dating app joke?
With men it’s never safe if they have a wife. I would avoid him and if he keeps making advances tell HR (and the wife!!)
not at all your fault. this person is creepy and dangerous. please use words like sexual harassment at workplace is uncool and creepy. call him your grandfather. if he says you are pretty again…say yikes! lets keep this professional. ask chatgpt to give you perfect responses. have these replies in your backpocek if anyone tries these creepy things again.
Put firm boundaries right now and report to your boss if he crosses the line with any inappropriate words.
In the meantime stop talking to your colleagues about the fact you’re single and on dating app.. That’s a creep bait to think you’re “open to something”. Don’t feed these @ssh0les.
“Professionalist” lol
I am a also a professional professionalist , experienced in professionalizing, and a passionalist purveyor of professionalism in professional pursuits
Be polite but firm. He might be genuinely trying to be nice(is English his first language?) But also let him know “hey thank you for the kind words but I do not wish for them in the workplace”
How old are you? Are you in the US?
Get him. Save his wife and kids.
Jesus christ
I would just tell the guy exactly what you told us: as someone who previously dealt with workplace sexual harassment I’m really uncomfortable with it.
Unless he’s a sociopath he will probably be mortified and very apologetic. Probably just misread the situation. Don’t crucify the guy straight off the bat.
