Hey everyone, let’s talk about the casino industry for a moment. 🎰💰
I’ve been working in this industry for over a decade now, and let me tell you, it’s not all glitz and glamour. In fact, it’s been a frustrating journey for me with little to show for it in terms of career growth and satisfaction.
Here are some of the issues I’ve faced:
– Working dual roles with no proper compensation
– Lack of promotions and pay differentials
– Long hours with no shift differentials
– Dealing with difficult patrons and their unreasonable demands
The whole experience has left me feeling stuck and unsure of what to do next. 🤷♂️
But here’s a possible solution that I’ve been exploring and that might help others in similar situations:
– Consider exploring other career options within the industry (e.g., online gaming, event planning)
– Look for companies that value their employees and offer better growth opportunities
– Don’t be afraid to make a change if you’re unhappy – your mental health and well-being are important too
I believe that by sharing our experiences and insights, we can navigate through the challenges of the casino industry and find paths that lead to a more fulfilling and rewarding career. Let’s support each other and strive for better opportunities together! 💪💼

Wow, thanks for the breakdown. I assumed that work could be rough but it’s just insulting and injurious… the level of money that’s sucked to the top of that industry.
I think there are like 3 companies that control most of the casinos in Vegas proper
Tribal casinos have sovereignty so they don’t have to follow certain state and federal labor laws. I work for a casino. If it weren’t for the pay, and benefits.. I would have been gone a long time ago. Unfortunately, I am trapped.. I highly wouldn”t recommend applying at the place I work for. There’s always drama, and our security department turns every little problem or incident into a federal case. The politics are terrible, if you are the time of person that can shut off the BS when you are off the clock, you will sleep better at night.
Great overview of your job. A position id never considered and an employment system I’m not remotely familiar with.
Side note, on an unrelated topic, have you gathered enough information to consult on a heist job? (This is humour)
Sounds like the workers get scammed.
Totally surprised to hear that an industry that preys on people’s addictions is not a good employer
