#BackgroundCheck #EmploymentHistory #DreamJob #TechCompany
Hey everyone! 🌟 So, after working as a contractor for 2 years, I finally got promoted to a full-time employee at a major tech company in New York. But here’s the plot twist – my background check got denied due to some discrepancies in my employment history. 😱
Here’s the deal: I listed all my freelance work under an LLC I created in 2023, and now they’re saying that’s causing issues. Even though I provided all the necessary documentation like tax forms, 1099s, emails, and checks, they’re still not budging. 🤷
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice on how to navigate this adverse action and salvage my dream job offer? I would appreciate any insights or tips you may have. Let’s brainstorm together! 💭
Possible solution:
– Consider reaching out to the HR department or hiring manager to explain the situation in detail and provide additional clarification.
– Seek legal advice or assistance to better understand your rights and potential options to rectify the issue.
– Be proactive in addressing the discrepancies and demonstrate your professionalism and commitment to resolving the matter.
Let’s help each other out and turn this setback into a success story! 🚀 #CareerAdvice #ProblemSolving #CommunitySupport
The background check company doesn’t make hiring decisions. Has your Recruiter confirmed with you that your offer will be rescinded if adverse action isn’t resolved?
> I listed all my paid and unpaid, part time freelance work that I done for the past 5 years under an LLC I made in 2023.
If you just set up this LLC in 2023, then anything in 4 of those 5 years was NOT under that LLC. That was a mistake to make that claim. For some reason they feel that difference is enough to withdraw your hiring, which is perfectly legal.
Your tax documents, etc. were sent in response to the adverse action letter? Or have you not responded?
(The response is your chance to fix things. Or you can attempt to convince the person who wants to hire you to advocate for you within the organization.)
