🚨[#AZ] Manager accusing employee of time theft 🚨
Hey everyone! 👋 Got a question from a family member who’s dealing with a tough situation at work. Their office manager is accusing them of time theft for not clocking out during short breaks like getting water from the cooler 😱. Wondering if this is legal and what steps to take next? Here are a few things to consider:
📌 Legality: It’s generally not legal for employers to make employees clock out for quick breaks like trips to the water cooler.
📌 Options: If finding another job isn’t an immediate option, your family member could consider discussing this issue with HR or seeking legal advice.
📌 Documentation: Keeping track of any incidents and documenting conversations with the manager can help build a case if needed.
