Hey r/startups!
I’ve been hustling on Instagram in the local travel and events space, building up a solid following of 40,000+ followers 📸. On top of that, I’ve just launched an MVP of an iOS app that’s already gained 200 downloads with impressive retention rates 📱. Now, I’m looking to raise some angel funding to scale up and hire a part-time engineer to help me take this app to the next level.
Here are some key points to consider:
– Is asking for 300k at a 4mil-post valuation reasonable for my stage?
– Despite having a deck and revenue plan, the early stage makes it difficult to predict revenue accurately.
– Any advice on approaching angel investors and pitching my social following and traction as assets in securing funding?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and any advice or insights you have on how I can leverage my social media following and MVP to attract investors and drive growth. Let’s discuss! 🚀
Most likely you won’t get any funding.
Only if they see the app , revenue , traction and real utility, revenue model, dau , mau , churn for a period of 2 to 2 years
Those followers don’t mean much to investors
would love to talk more! im NYC based and run a small MVP dev shop. [https://ellispinsky.com/work/](https://ellispinsky.com/work/)
You should just give an engineer some equity. You could literally make a free job post on LinkedIn and you’ll have dozens of responses in hours…
