Hey friends! 🌟
I just wanted to share a little victory with you all – I just landed my first job in IT as a data center engineer! 🎉 It’s been quite the journey for me, being diagnosed with autism last year at 48 and deciding to pursue my passion for technology. I’ve been studying hard and working towards certifications like AZ-900, SC-900, and Network+, with Security+ and CEH in my sights.
Here are some key takeaways and tips that I’ve learned along the way that might help you in your own career journey:
– Age is just a number! It’s never too late to reinvent yourself and chase your dreams. 🕰️
– Leverage your past experiences and skills – my background in customer service and sales definitely helped me stand out during the interview process. 🤝
– Play the long game – building a successful career takes time and patience. Rome wasn’t built in a day! ⏳
– Don’t be afraid to start at an entry-level position – it’s all part of the journey towards your ultimate goal. 🚀
Remember, keep the faith and believe in yourself! You have the power to make your dreams a reality! 💪
