-
Government Jobs: Positions in government agencies often offer stability and predictable salary increases based on cost of living adjustments.
-
Unionized Fields: Certain industries with strong unions may provide consistent pay raises without the pressure of climbing a corporate ladder.
-
Nonprofit Organizations: Working for a nonprofit can provide a sense of purpose along with steady pay and cost of living raises.
- Freelancing/Consulting: Being self-employed allows you to control your own career path and income while avoiding office politics.

Electrician. Factory worker. Store clerk. Truck driver. Server. Janitor.
Healthcare.
I’m a CRNA and would recommend exploring the Certified Anesthesiology Assistant route. The program takes 2 years and you will be earning over 200k per year. It’s only licensed in certain states, though. But there is high demand.

Every job. 90% of the workforce are worker bees.
Many dream of being the boss, most will never be.
Government. If you’re happy to just do your same job every day for however many years and take your 3-5% raises every year, they will love you. (I work in state government. I really like it tbh and the benefits are fantastic.)
Be a tradie , provide good services in your neighbourhood, so you build a good reputation and get constant jobs referred to you by words of mouth. You have fulll control of how many jobs you want to take and when do you want to have holiday. No office politics, no pressure to get promotion. You adjust your services fee by the cost of living, so your clients understand (as they are in the boat) and won’t get upset.

Trades or government. Trades is better cause you get raises with experience so you way out pace cost of living raises. And its totally normal for people to just wanna do there work and not move up into management or leadership. No one asks why you’ve “just been an electrician” for 30 years and not tried to move up to be a foreman or supervisor, it’s totally coo to make ur money and go home.

What world do you live in if you think no job has politics attached to it? Any job that isn’t retail or fast food that gives cost of living raises will always have politics attached to it
