Hey everyone! π Before diving into the world of entrepreneurship, I spent 5 years as a full stack developer. What about you? What was your job before taking the leap into being your own boss? And how old were you when you made the transition?
I think one possible solution to make the transition smoother for aspiring entrepreneurs is to network with other like-minded individuals, attend workshops or conferences, and continuously educate yourself on business strategies and trends. What do you think?
Let’s share our experiences and insights to inspire and support each other on this exciting entrepreneurial journey! πΌπ‘ #BusinessInsights #CareerTransition #EntrepreneurialSpirit
Started working in a cabinet shop at 18 , opened my business and started doing side jobs at 19 , went full time at 20 , now about to be 22 and working on my second and third projects with the first business running smooth .
Working as a designer at an agency before starting [my own](https://www.24hour.design). Pretty seamless transition.
I was a Product Designer in tech, before that software dev, before that data analyst, before that researcher, before that worked in a coffee shop, and before that roundtable pizza.
Related/unrelated.. sometimes I wish I wasn’t so calculated with everything, like you do when you’re a high achieving “intelligent” employee. I feel like if I was more “do lots of shit, aggressively, no shame, messy, knocking on doors, pedal to the metal, getting people on the phone, right now right now” type of energy I could go further and faster. Hopefully that made sense.
Worked at Chipotle
Only have had one real job, landscaping. Doing the grunt work and got to see behind the scenes a bit because it was a tiny company. Then I started doing jobs for neighbors and family friends at 22, and got licensed and started my company at 24. 26 now and itβs going well βΊοΈ
Work in logistics. You will learn what people are importing and moving. I started as a file clerk and became account exec in a month. I learned how to talk to importers and approach people. Then I got to see what they were importing. I also got to see who the supplier was. Granted thereβs more to business than that. But you will learn a damn lot. Trust.
It’s awesome to connect with a fellow digital consultant like yourself. I’ve been in the game for over 15 years, helping businesses navigate the digital landscape right from the beginning. What about you? How did your journey from full stack developer to entrepreneurship unfold?
Taxi man
Journalist for 25 years, last five working on videos (which explains what I do now).
I was working in saas sales for almost a decade. 6 figures, lots of perks. But the volatility of the tech industry combined with bad management made me want a different path. I’d rather succeed or fail on my own terms. Now I’m a few months into running a social media management and ads agency in the UK and so far so good!
I work 14 years in single one company. Suddenly I started freelance job while my current jobs. So its very hard to manage both job. So I quite and started full time freelancer.
Currently I am doing my own job from last 14 years. Although I have not achieve big but earn more than private jobs as self employed and also given few jobs to others.
So I become job seeker to job giver.

I’m currently a full stack developer and was let go with 4 others 2 months ago. I’m currently looking for employment but would be interested in your story as an entrepreneur. Something I could emulate maybe? Thanks.
